Walk along the beach: Cerbere – Banylus

This is a nice - 11 km / 5 hrs - walk along the beach from Cerbere to Banylus sur Mer. On the way you walk on the hills above the sea, there are few times you go down to small bays, and few times you cross vineyards along the route. You end in Banylus which has many restaurants and cafes along its bay. It tend to be crowded on holidays and vacations.

Note that in a hot day you should do it very early or afternoon since the trail is not shaded and you can be burnt from the scorching sun. Take enough water sunscreen sunglasses and a good hat.

Basically you park your car in the Banylus sur Mer SNCF train station. You take the train one way about 15 minutes ride (check timetable before, since there are not many trains during a day) – go down in Cerbere and just start walking back in the direction of Banylus near the beach. There is a well posted trail.

You can bring your own snacks or picnic and enjoy seating in little bays that shouldn't be too crowded because they don't have direct access from the main road only via that beach trail.
