Ceret was a home for many known artists between 1910 - 1920

ART

The museum of Ceret is a modern and contemporary art museum located right in the center of Ceret, and 3 minutes walk from the Pyreneez rental apartment.

During the beginning of the 20th century, Céret has been regularly visited by some of the most important modern artists.

 

The museum own few notable collections of artworks by artists who lived in Ceret such as Picasso, Matisse, Chagall, Manolo, Chaim Soutine, Miró, and more.
In addition every few month a new exhibition is being opened so the museum is live and attract art lovers from around the world.

 

Ceret is also a center for many artists and art galleries so art lovers can stroll for hours between galleries inside the old city.
