Hike in the Pyrenees
From easy walking trails up-to 4 days / 3 nights high mountain trek
Ceret is located in the most south eastern part of France, next to the Spanish border. Its the historic capital of the northern part of Catalonia. It is located in a beautiful geographic area. 30 km from the Mediterranean sea and exactly where the mighty Pyrenean mountains start to grow up to the sky and westward to the Atlantic ocean.
There are hikes that can be initiated straight from the city and there are great number of trails within one or two hours drive.
If you love hiking you will find a suitable trail for you no matter what is your level of walking capabilities.
The climate is mild so almost anytime of the year would be suitable for hiking. December till March might be a little cold out there, and too much snow in the higher elevations, but there are also many sunny days. July and August are usually hot so most probably you will need to start very early and finish the walk by noon time
In almost every village in the area there is a tourist information office and most of them can provide information regarding hikes.
